Comment:

 As I have showed in my last ticket (1) embedding Google Fonts in the WP
 core raises privacy, security and severe performance problems.

 The main reason for using Google Fonts, as mentioned here, is to cover
 internationalization with serving the right font for as many languages as
 possible. The new WP functionality to select the language at the beginning
 of the installation process makes it possible to drop the current solution
 and to install the right font once.
