 Grey would be approved, badge would be unapproved.
 Have a hard time wrapping my head around showing a total
 (approved+pending) while showing one of those values beside it.

 In my patch I just used the colours from other parts of the theme, the
 orange for example is the same orange as the badge in the admin menu.

 Is there a set of colour variables I should have referenced? Or is that
 something that's being worked on in another ticket?
