Comment (by designsimply):

 I love the customizer icon with a nod to the layout
 [[Image(customize-2.png)]] but I think the brush
 [[Image(https://cldup.com/FOW7isQUIz.png)]] is a more natural extension
 from the larger Appearance brush and also simpler which is more inline
 with the "+" and the pencil. I like both!

 @EmpireOfLight, the first few My Sites options you posted seem like they
 are complex and have a lot going on compared to the other icons. What
 about a simple gear icon (too settings-y?) or something similar to this
 one [[Image(https://cldup.com/dEnI5yOrOe.png)]] (which I saw on Google
 Apps) but with rectangles instead of squares?
