 [attachment:16434.customize.diff] adds site icons with cropping to the
 Customizer (and also fixes #29211).

 I've posted the flow that this patch introduces with screenshots on
 make/flow: https://make.wordpress.org/flow/2015/07/03/proposed-customizer-
 site-icon-flow/.

 Looking for dev and UI/UX feedback on this, although I won't personally be
 able to circle back here until next week, so feel free to iterate on this
 in the meantime.
