Comment:

 as it seems there will be no 4.2.3 version I wonder if this fix can be
 targeted for next 4.3-beta release? I would really need to get this fix
 for my customers ASAP as it is really causing severe issues/crashes with
 IE ([https://wordpress.org/support/topic/ie-1100-crash-zooming?replies=3
 newest related support request])

 Not sure about the procedure here: if there is a fix for a bug scheduled
 for a minor release that seems unlikely to be released, will the fix make
 it automatically into the next major release?
