 Just as a point of order, there is a plugin called fail2ban but also a
 server module which is similar to iptables, and is regularly used in
 conjunction with mod_security to wrangle bad behavior (like 18,000 hits to
 Xmlrpc from one ip in 5 minutes...). In case anyone was confused here.
