 A lot of people have created ordering of posts and pages plugins. A few
 have also made tree view plugins.
 I have gathered a bunch of plugins into this article:

 It would be nice if we could finally have this project moving along again.
 Having ordering and a tree view of pages/posts etc would be of benefit for
 very many people.
