 I would really need this option, but I think like celloexpressions that it
 relies to deeps concepts in Wordpress. In my opinion, those concepts
 inherit from the blog history of WordPress, and need to be rethink, as
 they limit the freedom brang by Custom Post Types.
 In the meantime, it support the demand to simply add a filter or action to
 allow the plugins to edit the menu metabox, so that third parties can
 propose different options, waiting for the core team to decide which is
 the best.
