 @boonebgorges I originally had `is_main_query()` in the code about 5
 patches ago, but I removed it before uploading and after finding that
 `is_date` worked reasonably well to keep our code out of other queries.
 Though, as you've pointed out we are now blocking a valid date query
 altogether. So yes, I agree we need to move it or rethink the
 implementation. I'm working on some ideas to see if it's possible to keep
 it where it is, but I'm not all that optimistic.
