 Both my Site Address(URL) and WordPress Address (URL) are set up as
 http://www.domain.com in the Settings>General Page.

 The issue arose when we got a call from some of our users were heading to
 'http://domain.com/resource' and were redirected to the homepage or a 404
 page was . This was replicated by us at the office. The url works fine if
 you en-corporate 'www'. The Post Name setting is used under Permalink
 Settings page.
