 @iseulde: What's the status here?

 Based on the feedback from @azaozz, seems like using pseudo elements here
 might not be advisable. And while I agree that ''realistically'', the
 `nextpage` or `more` elements should really only be inserted at the top-
 level, we would want to be careful about breaking existing behavior, as
 seemed to be the case on #28335 before it was wontfixed.
