 Hi @k776, welcome to Trac!

 `wp_newPost()` [source:tags/4.3/src/wp-includes/class-wp-xmlrpc-
 server.php?marks=1463#L1453 does call wp_insert_post()] via
 `_insert_post()`, so all the standard hooks should apply.
