Comment:

 Refreshed patch that updates all version mentions to 4.4.0, improves some
 filter documentation, and removes theme support check hacks.

 This is pretty much ready to go and should probably go in early in the
 cycle. We should just be on the same page about whether to deprecate
 `wp_title()` or not. Thoughts?
