 Can't use {{{.+?}}} due to the backtracking limitations but I should be
 able to drop the {{{\s*}}}

 Some of those test strings should not be valid anyway.  {{{<!--->}}} does
 not seem to have any useful purpose and is expressly forbidden in HTML 5.
