 I think you mean "Uploading a JPEG file with Firefox can corrupt it".
 Haven't seen any other reports. Can probably be caused by a Firefox addon?

 Could you try uploading the same file from the Media => Add New screen,
 switch to the "browser uploader" there (that means you will be uploading
 from a simple <input type="file">).
