 At the moment, the root issue on this ticket is still very important:
 there's no way to add captions using a keyboard. This is because the only
 path to add subtitles/captions is by opening this media modal, which can
 only be done by clicking on the visual editor image insert for a video.

 I'm open to raising that as a new ticket or by revising this one, but
 recommend against closing this ticket.
