Comment:

 Unsure if we should close this ticket tho. XML-RPC is something we need to
 use for at least another year if not more.
 Also this issue still we be there for JSON and it will not be included in
 4.1. So we still need to wait.

 We could change the focus of the patch and build something outside the
 XML-RPC so the JSON REST API can also benefit from it.
