 What shortcode are you using for your PDFs? It's not part of core, so I
 suspect that whatever plugin you're using to handle your PDFs hasn't been
 updated. You can get troubleshooting help in the support forum for that
 plugin. Likewise, the issue with switching between visual and text editor
 modes is most likely a plugin problem, possibly even the same plugin.
