 My opinion is that the plugin version should be immediately visible when
 browsing the new plugin cards. I realize this may be a bit of a subjective
 issue, however I find that plugin version is something I want obviously
 displayed in every type of plugin view. It seems like a common bit of info
 users might like to see right off the bat, and takes up almost no screen
 real estate.

 Can I ask: why the decision to remove version number?

 If you do consider adding version number back into the install cards, here
 are two possible ideas for how to do it:
