 RE: unit tests - I think we should incorporate some Multi site unit tests
 as well.  We also need to add unit tests around updating and deleting
 transiants.

 RE: Code - I don't like that we are obscuring the _transient_ from the
 name.  It makes it harder to immediately identify that the option is in
 fact a transient.  I'd rather see us fix this in the transient code to
 prevent that.
