Comment:

 28786.docs.diff adds some documentation to the private functions, as per
 [https://wordpress.slack.com/archives/core/p1414521949001625 drew], fixes
 punctuation in some more docs, and changes `else if` to `elseif`, which
 seems to be preferred in the WP Coding Standards.
