Comment:

 All right, another follow-up. I chatted with Otto about this, and he
 suggested and supported simply loading a .screen-reader-text class from
 core; like we do for the gallery and media players. I think that would be
 a much better solution - it's a standard piece of code, it will be the
 same for all themes, and then we can't count on its presence.

 I think that would be a great solution. Whether this should be a new
 ticket or continued in this on is a different question.
