Comment:

 Looks like cached/stale CSS. It has probably "resolved by itself" :)

 Also possible to be a CSS conflict with a plugin/theme. Would need more
 info (from the browser tools) on the styles applied to the various
 elements: Edit/Delete buttons in the editor, the Quicktags toolbar when it
 is visible but should be hidden, etc.
