 Background: Core documentation has been parsed into the new Code Reference
 for a couple of releases now. As such, there are quite a few cases where
 HTML markup located in various places in DocBlocks is wreaking havoc on
 how that content displayed via WordPress.

 The primary goal of this ticket is to fix as many of these cases as
 possible prior to the 4.1 release when the code base be parsed into the
 Code Reference for the new version.
