 Yes, making the prefix filterable wouldn't make a big difference.
 Developers would still have to check for which archive page they're on
 before making a change, due to the nature of the template hierarchy.

 Just replace the entire title like ocean90 suggested—retrieving the title
 of the queried object again should be no concern.
