Comment:

 Haven't been able to consistently reproduce this in iOS 7.x either.
 Haven't seen it in iOS 8.0 at all. Tend to assume this is an iOS 7.x bug
 that has been fixed in 8.0.

 Closing as worksforme for now, feel free to reopen if this is still
 happening in iOS 8.0.
