 Agree with the idea of using the hash symbol ( # ) to distinguish lines
 that can be uncommented, rather than using the double slash ( // ). It
 would be a good way to improve the readability of the file and reduce or
 eliminate potential ambiguity. And it's one character instead of two. The
 in-file documentation of the constants could really use some help.
