Comment:

 Can't believe that it's been nearly 4 years since this issue was first
 raised and not resolved one way or the other.

 It seems like perfectly sensible request to allow sticky for CPT. The most
 reasonable way to achieve this seems to be setting an additional parameter
 in ''register_post_type'' to true, by setting this option a checkbox will
 appear in the admin UI which says "Stick this %posttype". A label could be
 defined in ''register_post_type'' if additional customisation is required.
