 We could even go so far as giving a notice when it is not supplied.

 Running it for three plugins I got times ranging from 0.0017 to 0.0025
 seconds. This is with the [http://wordpress.org/plugins/blackbox-debug-bar
 Blackbox] profiler showing total times from 1.5-3.3 seconds. Running this
 locally, with maybe 10-15 plugins installed.
