Comment:

 Yes, there is some "browser quirks" code in TinyMCE to prevent this in
 iOS7 Safari. Best would be to request the same fix is applied to the other
 (Safari dependent) browsers upstream (if this is not fixed by a Safari
 update in the meantime).
