 From my brief overview there is an initiative to possibly include a live
 search within the dashboard, but I did not see a direct mention of a live
 search extended from the top menu admin bar.

 At January 15th 2014 there seems to be a statement from George Stephanis
 that he's temporarily turned away from project leadership. Since then
 there is no new announcements tagged with 'Omnisearch'
