 I keep coming across the desire to add JS hooks to core.  Overall I would
 prefer functionality that closely mirrors the way we do hooks in PHP -
 carldanley's [https://github.com/carldanley/WP-JS-Hooks github code] looks
 good and I would love to see this in core so we can start adding some
 hooks and testing!

 If there is general consensus that this makes sense I would be happy to
 work up a patch to add the code (including unit tests) to core.
