 Hello AskKim,

 yes, the query doesn't search in first name, last name and display_name.
 See [source:/tags/3.8/src/wp-includes/user.php#L485] and the the concern
 in [comment:ticket:16366:4].

 But searching for email addresses should work. Just tested this on a fresh
 3.8 install. It requires you to have `@` in the search query. Can you test
 this please again?
