 The biggest issue I see right now with the modal implementation is what
 happens when you exit the modal, especially after switching to the Editor
 state. When the modal is reinvoked, it appears that the instance is just
 revived (in the Editor state) rather than reinstantiated. I think this is
 problematic, not just from a UX perspective, but there seems to be an
 issue where you get a blank (ie: empty) modal sometimes as a result.

 I'll sniff around, but my understanding of our implementation of Views is
 spotty at best, so that issue may be above my head.
