Comment:

 So I'm having the same problem... the link is in the email source, but not
 displayed because of the brackets. After reading this thread, I'm not
 clear what the solution is. Should I modify the functions.php file, or
 create a functions.php file in a child theme? I'd really like the reset
 password functionality to work.
