 But if you are pasting into the visual editor using "Paste as plain text".
 If I press the keyboard space bar multiple times I get a html entity on
 every second press, it seems. It's hard to explain a confused user why the
 spaces are stripped.

 The paste behaviour of the text editor should not change.
