 This has received a decent amount of testing in both simulated situations
 and real environments. I would like to see some more data on what the
 reported problem is. "CPU hog" isn't really enough to go on. Is it MySQL
 connections? Queries? PHP processes? Memcache writes? What's causing this
 CPU load? Is it just load averages spiking, or is anything else unusual?
 This isn't an expensive process, and a request a second or whatever the
 average might be with a bunch of concurrent editors shouldn't by itself be
 a big issue. Front-end traffic also shouldn't be a major factor.
