Comment:

 Hi reyncor - thanks for the suggestion. Allowing arbitrary SVGs is asking
 for trouble, as they are just XML documents. We don't allow them as user
 uploads by default, either. You can always make a really large PNG for
 now, I suppose. Not sure how this plays into the WordPress.org Theme repo
 guidelines, either. Marking for close.
