Comment:

 The elapsed time between revisions should be of no consideration. What if
 I make a few changes to a post in quick succession and then want to revert
 the most recent one? Suddenly I have to revert all the changes I've made
 in the last 15 minutes.

 What unwarranted revisions are you seeing? If a post has changed when you
 update it, then it should save a revision. If you're getting revisions
 without changes in them, then that's a different matter.
