New description:

 If there is a post or page that has been created before the installation
 of WordPress 3.8.1, you cannot add a hyperlink.

 Hyperlinks can be removed - but when text is highlighted, and you try to
 add a hyperlink, nothing happens.

 Tested in both Firefox and Chrome (latest versions, no plugins) under
 Windows 7.
