 Where would the icons be shown, next to the name in the list table?

 In general I feel this would just create clutter and inconsistency.
 Plugins will start registering their own icons with no consistency between
 plugins.

 If it is added, I'd vote for only supporting dashicons, that way we can
 make it mostly consistent.
