 Removing the spellchecker has some downstream consequences.  For example
 the old After the Deadline plugin assumes it's there.  In 3.6/7/8 After
 the Deadline worked just fine but without the plugin available the button
 is never added to the toolbar, so while it works, the user cannot access
 it.
