Comment:

 valendesigns - The unit tests are designed to run against a clean and
 unmodified version of WP. That said, we could adapt these tests to do a
 backup/restore technique for dropins, similar to the one that I wrote for
 mu-plugins. I'll leave the ticket open in case someone has a chance to get
 to this before I do.
