 Atta boy, BitPath! I can't thank you enough, you are a LIFE SAVER and
 really appreciate you posting the code to fix the (from Word) copy and
 paste issue. It is now working! You are the man today!!!

 For what it is worth, I am using a 3rd party skin (Flare) and I pasted
 BitPath's code in the skin's function.php file which resides in the child
 theme directory.

 Nice observation, I use Duplicate Post plugin and when I cloned post, all
 old copy/paste images from Word would also disappear, now it is again
 working! I hope all you have having the same issue try BitPath's solution,
 it did work for me, thanks again all!!
