Comment:

 This is a problem anytime people do custom taxonomy selection UIs (see
 [comment:49:ticket:14877 #14877] for thoughts on where we should be
 providing more of this). My fear is that people may already be working
 around this in their code and changes will bite them. Want to do it, but
 let's look in 4.1 instead, please.
