 There has been a fair amount of pushback on wordpress.com about the
 removal of this functionality, so I am leaning towards “yes.”

 At my local meetup last night the 3.9 media improvements were being
 demonstrated and several people remarked these styling options were
 removed.  I didn't realize these advanced options existed, but they do
 seem to be used heavily by non-technical users.
