 Lines 3686-3732 in `wp_old_slug_redirect()` seem to be dropped in as if
 from mars.

 Is that code supposed to live somewhere else? And if not, how is it that
 `$q`, $search_orderby_title, $search_orderby, et al are accessible in a
 standalone function?
