 I have done some testing of this patch on a Windows 7 laptop using NVDA
 2013.2 and JAWS 14 (screen readers) and the hidden labels etc with the
 revised CSS do seem to be accessed by the screen readers as you'd expect.

 I also created a test page outside of WordPress and tested this with
 Voiceover on an iOS7 iPad. As before the revised CSS did not prevent the
 screen reader from accessing and voicing the text.
