 I hope you don't get me wrong here. This is a serious patch request and no
 joke. I came across this piece of code several years ago and was surprised
 that it was still there when I was looking at the Wordpress codebase again
 a few weeks ago.

 To be honest, I do think variable names like this do not belong here and
 are inappropriate. Variable names should reflect what the variable is
 about.
