 Patches themselves aside, is there any reason these should both be in
 core? AS1 seems fairly standardised and something that we could add, but
 rss.js feels more like plugin territory to me. That said, even AS1 feels
 like it's wavering on the edge of plugin territory to me. I don't know
 that there's any clients for either AS1 or rss.js, so I'm not sure what
 benefit we get.
